I grew up on a small homestead in Middle Tennessee. I developed a deep love for stewarding God's creation through regenerative farming and permaculture. When I was in college, I had a vision to start a school for all ages to be able to come explore His creation while finding community, rest, and fellowship. Many different career paths and life experiences allowed me to build the skills we now bring to our families here at Shade Tree.

This culminated in 2021 when I began directing an outdoor homeschool tutorial. Teaching became my passion because  offered the opportunity to connect with families and their children and show them God's love. I wanted people to feel seen, honored, and encouraged.

I have directed homeschool tutorials for 5 years now and we started Shade Tree in 2024. We now run Shade Tree on our 7 acre homestead in Burns.
